Green Psalms is weaving the ancient memories found in the smallest of flowers and the reading of dew drops. Reseaching and exploring behind the Veils of the Virgin Mary that was once was expressed in the language of wild flowers, holy wells, hidden springs and candle light. The Salmon's Tale (Part Two)
The Great Alignment
In the beginning the Great Creator whose name was never spoken because the people realized one could never fully understand the Universe for it was much too BIG. So out of respect no one ever would conceive they had all the answers. Yet the people experienced creation and saw that everything was part of the Great One and could be found in all of Nature.
The people's job was to honor all the gifts of Nature and to be in alignment and harmony with Nature’s Laws . They realized they were a small part of all of the workings of Creatioin, like small pieces joined together as a reflecting mirror. This was long before humans fell out of harmony with Nature and began to believe they were separate or superior to All of Creation.
Reflection; I chose a canvas tarp to paint this piece because it reminded me of the time after the Buffalo all had been killed. The Indian people were issued calvary canvas tarps because there were no longer Buffalo hides. They painted the canvas and made their clothing with Sacred designs to honor their ancestors that had been killed in the Indian wars. Also they honored the Buffalo that no longer roamed free on the prairie. Then they would dance. This dance was known as the Ghost Dance. It seems we are still in this cycle of using all of Nature's resources.
