Praying Dragon
This standing dragon was created from elk-horn moss found on the forest floor after an autumn storm. Up close, its texture resembles dragon scales.
Pressed and shaped, he emerged in full form: standing in prayer, breath made of tiny filaments, a treasure sack on his back, big feet covered in Columbine petals, and a kneeling posture before a heart-shaped wild rose.
The rose teaches us to love beyond the thorns. Not every story ends in "happily ever after"—but we can always choose to "love ever after."
This is the Dragon’s Prayer.

Cutting through with the Sword Truth
This little gnome is made from the petals of Columbine flowers. You can see his smiling profile. In his hands, he holds a sword. On his head rests a crown made of stamen anthers—the Magic Crown of Wisdom.
He may be small, but he wields the Sword of Truth, able to cut through any illusion. Three Queen Anne's Lace blossoms rise above him, bringing clarity and insight. (Did you know Queen Anne's Lace is a wild carrot? And carrots are good for the eyes!)

Water
Water has no sense of itself.
It flows from pure mountain springs
to babbling brooks,
to mighty rivers that rush to the great ocean.
It can be ice or snow or a raging storm.
Then, at the perfect moment,
the sun shines—
and it surrenders.
It becomes mist, becomes cloud, becomes sky—
and returns again as rain,
blessing the Earth for everyone’s benefit.

The Unicorn in the Pool
While walking in Parc de Saint-Cloud, near Paris, I photographed a murky garden pool. Later, I noticed something magical: the clouds and trees reflected in the water formed the shape of a unicorn.
Look at the space between the green trees—that's his horn. Find his ear, then trace his face, nose, and heart area lit by sunlight.
To see into the fairy world, you must shift perception.
Unicorns symbolize purification, nobility, and sacred love. In the 12th century, French courts honored Love Alchemy, where couples used mystical love to create music, art, and poetry—refining their souls and awakening spirit.
Pan in the Clouds
Pan was once honored in ancient Greece for his sacred place in the natural order. He danced upon the Ley Lines, playing his hollow reed flute, his cloven feet stirring the animal migration trails. His sensual joy awakened the fertile energies of the Earth—raw, untamed, and divine.
The music of his pipes carried the life force through the land, spreading the power of renewal.
His spirit was wild and free—sometimes too much so, leaving behind broken hearts. His sexual yearning didn’t always align with wisdom or discernment. Yet Pan embodied the raw, ecstatic pulse of nature’s erotic energy.
He reminded us: Life is sacred, messy, and full of desire—and that, too, is holy.

All I Need to Know
This image is the beginning of my Spiritual Awakening when I was 24 years old in Mt. Shasta 1974. For all the years I have had of Spiritual Training and hours of Spiritual practice I have engaged into, I have realized 3 Truths.
1- We all have a Guardian Angel. Get to know your Guardian Angel, sit down get quite and listen.
2 God is everywhere and in everything. Realized this and act accordingly. The first two lessons I learned from the nuns at age five. Its all I ever needed to know. All dogma and the thickets of rules and regulations are not needed if you realize the first two realizations.
3- My husband Matt shared the third realization. Everyone has a moral compass deep in their heart. When you are in bed in the middle of the night when your thoughts calm down everyone knows right from wrong. Follow your morral compass, deep in your heart you never get lost when used properly.
You will not find me on Facebook very much at all anymore, but if you want to get a hold of me go to my blogger profile and send me an email..

The Fairy Godmother walked to the center of the Fairy ball. She noticed a group of gnomes dancing around an old oak tree. The oak tree had a face made up of knotholes and the grain of the bark. He seemed to be smiling as the gnomes merrily dancing around him. As the Fairy Godmother approached closer, the dancing suddenly stopped. One of the
gnomes took off his hat and made a deep bow to the Fairy Godmother.
“Welcome to Fairy Land. I am the King of the Gnomes. My subjects are all the spirits of the earth.” The Fairy Godmother chuckled to herself, there are sure a lot of queens and kings here.
The Gnome king was dressed in a pointed red cap, with soft brown trousers reflecting the color of deep rich earth. His shirt was blue like the clear summer sky.. His hair was red like crackling fire. What the Fairy Godmother liked best about the Gnome King was that his eyes mischievously twinkled when he spoke to her.
The Gnome King then continued, “The Wise Oak has lived for many rings.” He was referring to years, because when you look at the cross section of a tree you find rings, each ring represents one year.
The Gnome King then continued, “The Wise Oak has lived through
many long winters and seen many springs where the wildflowers have grown around his feet. He has been shade for those who rested under his branches on hot summer days. The Oak was shelter for the birds to build their nests in his limbs to raise their babies. But one of the most important things the Wise Oak gives to us is with his in-breath and his out-breath he cleans our air. You see, trees only breathe once a day but that one breath is very important to all of life. It cleans the air we all breathe.”
“Ahhhhhhhh” said the little gnomes in the circle, breathing out with a sigh. The Gnome King then began to whisper a song into the Fairy Godmother’s ear. She began to sing what she heard.
'll tell you a story of a wise oak tree. I'll tell you a story, so listen to me.
I'll tell you a story, the earth is alive. I'll tell you a story of how to be wise. I'll tell you a story of fairies and gnomes. I'll tell you a story of hills they roam. I'll tell you a story of flowers so rare. I'll tell you a story of spirits of air.
The Gnome King explained, “We, the Gnomes, are very helpful creatures for we are the builders in nature’s kingdom.

Meeting the King and Queen of the Sylphs
This post is from my book, “The Stories of the Fairy Godmother” by Raylene Abbott that can be found on Amazon.com
“I would like to introduce you to Lord Josh and Lady Gynith,” the Rose Queen said.
They were spirits of the air known in the fairy world as sylphs. Lord Josh was tall and stately with curly dark hair, that made ringlets around his face. He wore silvery blue clothes. If you looked at him one way, the clothes appeared blue. If you looked at him in another way, his clothes seemed to be silver. He took off his silver blue hat and made a deep bow to the Fairy Godmother and the Rose Queen. When Lord Josh tipped his
hat, a downy swan feather fell to the ground before the Fairy Godmother.
The Fairy Godmother bent down and picked up the feather. Then she said, ”Lord Josh, I think this is yours.”
Lord Josh said, “This is a gift to you, Fairy Godmother. It is a magical swan feather. I found it one day as I was flying through the clouds. Place the feather on your forehead, and it will inspire you with the thoughts of the angels.”
“Oh, thank you ever so much, Lord Josh,” she said.
Lord Josh took the hand of Lady Gynith and said, “ I would like to present to you Lady Gynith.”
Lady Gynith’s hair shone like spun gold. Her eyes were the deepest blue,
like the sky itself. Her dress was made up of silver sparkles, and her wings looked just like swan feathers. When she smiled, sparks of light flew everywhere. Lady Gynith bowed to the Rose Queen and the Fairy Godmother with the grace of a swan.
“How do you do?” said Lady Gynith. I also have brought you a gift. Lady Gynith tapped her heels together. She raised her head to the air and began to sing: Angels in front of me, Angels behind, Angels above me, Angels divine...
Ref.:
Open my heart, help me see. Let my feet be as light as thee. Open my heart deep inside Where all the wisdom truly resides.
Angels in nature, green and gold, Angels in flowers to unfold. Angels in mountains, Angels in streams, Angels all around you in the unseen.
Ref.:
Angels of the air, they fly with ease.
Angels of the wind, they bring the breeze. Angels of the river and the babbling brook, Angels of the fire like to cook.
As Lady Gynith sang the last note of the song the words seemed to enter deep into the heart of the Fairy Godmother. All the surrounding fairy folk clapped.
“Thank you for such a beautiful gift,” said the Fairy Godmother to Lady Gynith. Lady Gynith bowed, and then took Lord Josh’s hand as they both glided together into the party.
Meeting the Undines
I like to share a portion of my book “The Stories of the Fairy Godmother” This is a story about the adventures of Fairy Godmother and how she was introduced to the Spirits of Water known as the Undines.
The sun now began to set and darkness began to fall in the garden. But this did not bother the fairies at all, for their fairy lanterns shed a beautiful light in the garden. The Rose Queen took the hand of the Fairy Godmother, leading her to a secret place in the garden, behind a wall of ivy. In the blink of a wink, the Fairy Godmother went right through the wall with the Rose Queen. You see, in Fairyland walls don’t seem to matter since the fairies can walk right through anything. This is very helpful for going places.
The other side of the ivy wall was the most beautiful site you ever laid eyes upon. There were water sprites, dancing and laughing in fountains.
The water was rainbow-colored. All one had to do was think of one’s favorite color and the water would change to that color. Not only did the water change, but also the water sprites’ garments would change right along with it. Splashing around in the fountain were two creatures whose bodies looked as if they were half fish and half fairy.
As the Fairy Godmother approached them, she noticed a beautiful woman standing next to them, directing the flow of the water. Ah, it was the Queen of the Undines. She was quite magnificent! All of her subjects were the water sprites. You see, Undines are all the invisible fairies that live in the water.
Her eyes were like pools of crystal-clear water. Her dress was made of many rivers, moving and splashing as it flowed down her legs. The Undine Queen lifted her sleeve, and the Fairy Godmother saw that her dress sleeves were made up of cascading water falls. The Undine Queen’s heart was a bubbling spring. The Queen’s mind was like a calm clear lake and her jewelry was made up of little dewdrops that you might find on a lawn early at sunrise. Every time the Undine Queen would move, millions of droplets of water would spray to and fro.
“How do you do,“ said the Undine Queen to the Fairy Godmother, “Welcome to Fairyland.”
The Fairy Godmother made a deep bow to the Queen of the Undines. As she bent over, she noticed a puddle of water on the ground. Looking into it, she could see her own reflection quite clearly. She straightened up after her bow, and stood before “the royal wet one.”
The Undine Queen held out a dewdrop to the Fairy Godmother and said, “Open your mouth.”
The Fairy Godmother opened her mouth, as the dewdrop fell right onto her tongue. She swallowed it. All of a sudden the Fairy Godmother found herself in a vision. She saw herself swimming in a river. If a big boulder got in the way, she just swam around the rock. In her playfulness, her body and the river became one. She moved with the flow of the river, letting the river carry her along its currents. She came back from her Inside Experience and looked up at the Undine Queen.
The Undine Queen said, “This is the gift of the Undines - to flow through the currents of life, not letting little obstacles, like a big boulder, get in your way. Just swim around it.”
“We are the Masters of Flow,” she continued. “ Water is very important
for all of life on Earth. Even your bodies are made up of 90% water. That is very important to know, my dear. Remember this precious gift and always treat water wisely, for we have many things to teach if you watch us make magic, from rain, to puddles, to streams into rivers, running freely into the grand ocean.
"This is our domain,” said the Undine Queen. The Fairy Godmother looked down at the puddle on the earth and reflected upon all the things the Undine Queen had told her. She became thankful for the water she drank, the water she bathed in, and the water she gave to her gardens. The Fairy Godmother became thankful for all of the types of water she ever experienced. Her heart just swelled in thanksgiving to something most of us just take for granted. The Undine Queen could feel the Fairy Godmother’s thoughts and said “You’re welcome, my dear.”
The Fairy Godmother turned around and walked back towards the Rose Queen who had been gathering her subjects in the garden. The Fairy
Godmother then felt inspired to look up to the Mountain Sleeping Beauty. There she saw thousands of tiny lights flying down the fairy trail. The fairies all around the mountain had heard of the fairy ball and everyone wanted to come and dance. The Rose Queen stood with the Fairy Godmother, greeting all the fairies that were arriving at the party. The Rose Queen was very kind and she introduced the Fairy Godmother to everyone.

The Plight of the Nature God Pan
Nature is filled with arch-types that act as doorways into awareness of how to view God’s creation. Unfortunately many of these arch-types have been manipulated by those in powers over the centuries that have left a western society that views they are separate from Nature. This is a deep wound that is found in our European ancestors. This wound of separation has created a cultural that has used our Natural Resource for power and gain rather than making the choice of preservations and environmental awareness. Pan the Greek God of Nature is one of those ancient arch-types that has been sadly misunderstood, to set the record straight I like to share this experience I had in a church when I lived in Menton, France.
One of the main sanctuaries in the church of Menton in France was built over an older church of the 13th century. This church was dedicated to Saint Michael. I was gazing at the altar, the columns and ornaments of gilded wood and my eyes rested on the statue of Saint Michael. He held his mighty sword and stood victoriously on the back of the devil.
But who was this devil? Who was it that Michael’s Power was squashing? It was the Roman Pagan God of nature, Pan. Pan was not looking so happy in the role he found himself in. He still had his cloven feet and his goat horns poking through his curly hair, but his face was tortured for he had absorbed the evil projections of the founding church fathers. He had become their scapegoat.
Pan once was honored in Greece for his position in the natural scheme of creation. He danced on the Ley-Lines, playing his hollow reed flute. His cloven feet awakened the migration trails for the animals. His sensual, orgasmic pleasure aroused the sexual energies both in man and animal. The musky odor of his own sexuality assured the growth and the increased population of both animals and humans.
The thrilling melody of his pipes awakened the life force of the “Lignes Telluric,” the Ley-Lines, to distribute fertility throughout the area. Pan would have his sexual way with anyone and everything. His Sacred Presence ensured the survival of all species. Yes, sometimes he got carried away with himself, leaving broken hearts behind. His sexual yearning did not always connect with the wisdom eye of knowledge and discernment. But he represented the natural sex drive in its rawest form, wild and unleashed - but not evil!
The Church Fathers had to do something with Pan’s Pagan children who lived with the green ways of the Earth, following the cycles of nature with the rise and fall of the life forces within the land. The celibate priesthood was also forced to control their own sexual needs, so they bound Pan and projected the sins of the world upon him and called him the devil. Man projected upon Pan, rather than looking inside and facing and erasing the true source of evil that lives within human beings. Pan is a nature spirit and only nature Spirits can act as a mirror of man’s thoughts and emotions, for this is how the Creator programmed them.
Saint Michael, an Archangel of the highest order, was also misused by the church fathers to associate nature’s awesome reproducing power to the work of the devil. The fathers of the church wanted the power over the bodies, minds and souls of the population.
When Michael wasn’t stepping on the devil, he was slaying dragons. The dragon represents the Ley-Lines that held the Sacred Initiations of the land that gave the people the power to heal, to have visions of prophesies and look deeper into the mysteries of the soul.
The Church Fathers went as far as stripping the Great Goddess herself off her sexuality, fertility powers and her destructive aspect that brought purification and regeneration to the land through her winter season, the winter being the time the green power retreated deep into the earth. The snake, the dragon, which is symbolic of sexuality, and also the Wouivre system (Ley-Line system) of the land were crushed under the Virgin’s feet. The ancient Goddess adapted herself to the Church’s regulations and snuck in through the backdoor as the Black Madonna.
The male sexuality was bound through binding Pan. The female sexuality was bound through the Virgin and the power of the land was bound through the killing of the dragon. The original blueprint of nature was darkened by the minds of the Church Fathers who wanted complete control. When you succeed in controlling people’s sexuality, you control the population. The God and the Goddess became only a faint memory, whispered in the wind and the wild places of the land.
I walked out of the church and along the coastline there was a great rock ridge before me and I could see the shape of a dragon within the stone. As I focused on the images etched in the stone shaped by the elements, I could see the image of Pan in the weathered rock. Pan still lives in nature for those who have the eyes to see through Mother Nature’s veils. I also found a statue of a happier Pan at one of the fountains near the town’s center.
Maybe it is high time to change the archetypes that once were manipulated. Let us see Saint Michael being a protector of the environment, holding the shield with a dragon protector on it. Let us see Michael protecting the life force of the Earth.
Let us see the dark face of the Madonna who is not afraid of her fertility power, the power of birth, death and purification.
Let us give the Nature God Pan the pearl of wisdom to use his sexual nature with discrimination and with wisdom but not with repression. These are the new archetypes we need to heal ourself with the view of separation from God’s Creation which everything in Nature.

Flower Fairy Cards
Card 1 Good Council
I wanted to share one of the projects I have been working on all summer. I have been creating my own personal Fairy Deck from years of my photographic work and also from my husband, Matt nature photos. I have been doing fairy card counciling from this deck the last year. Every image is is a window into the World of Fairy. What I also have been creating is 80 flower essences and crystal essences. They are made in the high mountains, at the seashore or from my own garden. I have begun offering 3 card flower reading with the flower/crystal vibration remedy to help with a client to surf through these challenging times.
Card 2 Removing Obstacles
Card 3 Going Forward.
I have doing this beautiful work along my travels as we meet people. I have had some very good results, folks have been reporting back to me of dream guidance after using the flower/crystal essences. If you are interested in my work please send me an email at rayleneabbott@gmail.com
